Symptom & History Review
You’ll meet with your rheumatologist, who will ask detailed questions about your symptoms, medical history, and family history of autoimmune conditions.
Physical Exam
We perform a focused exam to check for joint tenderness, swelling, range of motion, rashes, or other systemic signs.
Review of Prior Tests
If you have previous lab work or imaging, we’ll review those results. If more testing is needed, we’ll discuss what and why.
Next Steps & Treatment Discussion
Based on the findings, we’ll outline a care plan. This might include follow-up testing, lifestyle changes, or starting treatment. In many cases, we schedule a second visit once new labs or imaging are completed.
Will I Get Tests Done the Same Day?
Depending on what’s needed and your insurance coverage, we may arrange:
Bloodwork (on-site or through a preferred lab)
X-rays or other imaging (coordinated with a local imaging center)
Specialist referrals if a co-managed condition is suspected
What Happens After My Visit?
Within a few days, you’ll receive:
A visit summary with key findings
Any new test results
Instructions for follow-up appointments or next steps
A care coordinator you can reach out to with questions
Ongoing visits are scheduled based on your condition—some patients are seen monthly at first, while others may only need a few visits per year.
